MOT Diary is a registered company that is involved in providing an array of Cloud-based services. It takes your private data very seriously and deals with it in accordance with the law. A note for all users under 16

  • Inform you whenever your car needs an MOT service. This is a free and automated feature we provide.

Your data is stored securely on servers within the geographical boundaries of the European Union. On occasions, your data may be stored or transferred to countries outside the EU. You will be informed whenever that happens.

We will also make sure that your data remains safe no matter what. All our storage techniques are in compliance with the EU-US Privacy Shield programme.

Who do we share your data with?

Whenever you book one of our services or make an enquiry, we will share a part of your information (name, email address, contact information, and physical address if needed) with our registered garages, a list of which you can see on our website. We trust the garages will store your data safely. Once you sign up with us and create an account, you give us consent that other, 3rd-party garages can use your information to an extent.

We may also, at times, share your data with other service providers, suppliers and sub-contractors, provided that they follow a strict data privacy norm.

In any event, where we are forced to transfer your data to any other entity, you will be duly notified.

How long do we store your data?

Whenever you create an account with MOT Diary, you automatically consent to our storage of your data till you hold that account, or as long as your data helps us provide you with better services. You can voluntarily ask us to delete your data permanently. We will try and do that within a pre-notified period.

We do not sell your data to any 3rd party service providers.
